Girls at Mitindo Primary school, Misungwi, Mwanza. In March 2007, in response to the killings, the Tanzanian government decided to send all children with albinism in the Mwanza area to Mitindo Primary school as it felt it could not protect them at their homes in remote areas. There are 62 children with albinism at the school currently and even though it is school holidays all the children with albinism are still here as it is not safe for them to go home.
